Community Involvement

From our outset, Via Vecchia Winery has played host to Columbus’ performance and visual arts communities: mainstream, independent, and alternative artists. Its spaciousness, stage, and multiple levels provide the perfect backdrop for dance rehearsals, performances, art and photographic exhibitions, music, and themed events. During winter months, the winery reserves Wednesday nights for performers wishing to practice their skills in the festival off-season.

City Music
For more than a quarter century, City Music has continued to bring unique multi-cultural musicians to Columbus. This community-based organization is dedicated to creating inspiring experiences that celebrate the joy of life in a relaxed nontraditional setting. Via Vecchia Winery will be hosting the second season this year in historic Brewery District. Guests are welcome to bring their laptop while they relax or enjoy an afternoon meal with a glass of our wine.

Shows will be on select Sundays, October through February 2013/2014 ~

Music in the Round
Music in the Round will again bring its fundraising to Via Vecchia in 2013, after successful events in 2012 and 2011. Music in the Round is a concert format that originated in Nashville’s Bluebird Café and grew organically from the traditional jam session. The only rule: the artists must play songs they’ve written themselves on the instruments on which they were written. Music in the Round artists showcase and polish new songs in an intimate, supportive environment made up of a music-loving audience and their fellow singer-songwriters. Music in the Round audiences hear artists talk about their songwriting, particularly the stories and emotions surrounding the song’s creation.
